Dierks Bentley To Showcase at The Americana Music Festival

Thursday, September 9, 2010 - 16:52

Dierks Bentley will add his voice to the Americana "roots revelry," as he plays a festival showcase Friday, September 10th at the Cannery Ballroom. The award-winning, multi-platinum singer/songwriter joins an already impressive bill that night featuring, The Infamous Stringdusters, Railroad Earth and Cadillac Sky.

A country music superstar, Bentley is known for his love of Americana roots music. His artistically daring, acoustic new album UP ON THE RIDGE was released on June 8, 2010. Since then it has won critics over with the Washington Post calling it “the best country recording we’ll hear in 2010” and NPR deeming it “timeless.”

The Cannery Show is part of the Americana Music Festival taking place September 8-11th. The nighttime showcases offer a packed slate of artists performing at five of Nashville's coolest venues: The Basement, Station Inn, Mercy Lounge, Cannery Ballroom, and The Rutledge.

$50 wristbands good for all shows may be purchased at the venues. Individual tickets for Dierks' Friday night show are $20. They can be bought online at the
Mercy Lounge.com or at the door. The ticket gives access to Friday night's shows at BOTH the Cannery Ballroom & The Mercy: The lineup that night is as follows:

The Cannery Ballroom

10:30 PM Railroad Earth
11:30 PM Cadillac Sky
